Royal Thunder Join Monster Magnet for East Coast Dates; Video For "Blue" In The Works

Royal Thunder, who are currently on tour with Corrosion of Conformity and ASG, will join Monster Magnet for a pair of mid-December dates: Dec. 14 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn and Dec. 16 at The Trocadero in Philadelphia.

The female-fronted Atlanta quartet released their debut album, CVI, in the Spring via Relapse Records.  Spin described the release as a "stunning breakthrough," Revolver called the album "essential" and Decibel Magazine placed singer Mlny Parsonz on the cover of their inaugural women in metal issue.

Royal Thunder are currently working on a video for  "Blue," with a premiere to come in the next few weeks.

Spending the bulk of the year on the road, the band has toured with Black Tusk, Baroness, Pallbearer, Valient Thorr and the aforementioned Corrosion of Conformity.  Royal Thunder have also done their own headlining dates around the United States with their next solo date on Dec. 17 at The Rock and Roll Hotel in Washington, D.C.

ZODIAC PREMIERE NEW MUSIC VIDEO

German classic rocker's ZODIAC have revealed a brand new music video for the title track of their recently released debut album "A Bit of Devil".  The video was produced by Florian Breuer, Andreas Huck , & Roland Nebe of Warped Type  in Dusseldorf, Germany earlier this month.

The band commented as follows: "We are happy to present you our first video. We've chosen the title track of our debut album "A Bit of Devil" and the look of the video fits perfect to the cover artwork. It is a proper performance video but we think the old school James Bond inspired look makes it something special. So enjoy and spread the word!"

YEAR OF THE GOAT: Debut LP From Swedish Occult Rock Outfit Nears Release

Östergötland/Norrköping, Sweden-based occult rock quintet YEAR OF THE GOAT are in the final stages of preparation for the release of their debut full-length, Angel’s Necropolis, the album to be set free upon the Earth this December 7th, 2012 via Germany’s cult clique Ván Records.

Preceded only by two short EP’s, also released by their comrades at Ván Records, Angel’s Necropolis is a brilliantly infectious album highlighting the classic metal/occult rock harmonies YEAR OF THE GOAT seemingly permeate the air around them with, rather than “perform” or “execute” said riffery. The atmospheric permeation of the eight rituals which comprise their Angel’s Necropolis offering form the proper conditions to transport the listener to another plane of existence for over fifty minutes; a meditative state in tribute to Lucifer and his legions.

YEAR OF THE GOAT now offer a sampling of their magic to the world; a hymn professing not only their talent and devotion to their songcraft, but also proof of their unwavering allegiance to their master.

ANCIENT VVISDOM CONFIRM TOUR, REVEAL NEW ALBUM TITLE & RELEASE DATE

The Texas-based acoustic rock act ANCIENT VVISDOM have just been confirmed for a tour alongside blackened-prog stalwarts Enslaved on their "Winter Rites 2013" tour, which also features doom metallers Pallbearer. The three-week tour, which starts on Jan. 30th in Philadelphia, will be the band's first performances in support of their new album, "Deathlike," which will be released on Feb. 5, 2013. More details about "Deathlike," the follow-up to their 2011 critically acclaimed debut release "A Godlike Inferno," will be revealed in the near future.

ANCIENT VVISDOM, which consists of singer/songwriter Nathan Opposition, his brother Michael Jochum (electric guitar) and acoustic guitarist Justin "Ribs" Mason, were seen earlier this year touring the U.S. as openers for Ghost's headlining tour. From there, the band toured overseas in response to their nominations for "Best Underground Band" at Metal Hammer's Golden Gods Awards and "Best New Band" at the annual Classic Rock awards, a trek that also saw them perform at Norway's Inferno Festival, the prestigious Roadburn Festival in Holland, and live on BBC Radio.
